Dominican Republic Tourism Up Six Percent in 2018 | In the first six months of 2018 Dominican Republic’s tourism industry has seen a 6.14 percent increase in visitor arrivals compared to the same time in 2017. The Central Bank of Dominican Republic reported from January – June 2018, the country welcomed 3,440,505 passengers.

30M Historic Renovation Project Underway | The Columbus Lighthouse Museum located in East Santo Domingo began a $30 million renovation project on August 6, with a target re-opening date of November 9, 2018. Updates to the commemorative Christopher Colón museum include repaired infrastructure, revamped displays to the 48 country exhibits and more.
