The carnival of Santa Bárbara de Samaná takes place on February 27. It is very popular and has the participation of numerous troupes from several towns of the province, enriching even more the traditional celebration. Color, music and joy are the flags of the carnival. For the occasion, Samaná’s characters dress up in turquoise suits, decorated with corals, fish, octopus, starfish and whales, covered in blue, green, orange and purple and adorned with mirrors, rattles and sequins. You will be able to enjoy Los Diablos Marinos (the Marine Devils), among other colorful and fun characters.
