The carnival parade along Las Carreras Avenue towards the Monument, will be held on February 2, 9, 23 and 27 and the 1st. March with showy floats and troupes to the rhythm of merengue. On February 16, there will be no activity due to municipal elections throughout the country. To parade, the locals wear diablos cojuelos masks and costumes with mirrors, bells and balloons to make way through the crowds. Local artisans conduct a mask contest that becomes a healthy but fierce competition that ends with the creation of a masterpiece. You can enjoy the characters Los Lechones, Karamanche and Nicolás Den Den, among others. Dedicated to the artist Maridalia Hernández.
