Playa Los Pinos

A second visible cay from Boca Chica Beach is Los Pinos, boasting a sandbar with a backdrop of pine trees. A boat ride is recommended to reach this plot, rather than a swim. The waters are shallow, but get deeper in the channel that separates it from the Santo Domingo Yacht Club and the Marina Zar-Par. Los Pinos is a favorite of standup paddle surfers, as well as Optimist and Sunfish sailors.
