“Por los Caminos del Carnaval en Tiempo de Pandemia”

This exhibition brings the magic, emotion, colors, art and the experience of the most important popular cultural manifestation in the country. This multidisciplinary exhibition will be composed of photographs, masks, costumes, thematic crafts and audiovisuals. Hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The exhibition is advised by the sociologist Dagoberto Tejeda Ortiz, who will hold two virtual conferences and has curated the photographic and piece exhibition. The photographic aspect has been coordinated by Mariano Hernández and pays posthumous tribute to photographer Alfonso Khouri. The exhibition includes the photographs of Guadalupe Rodríguez, Juan de los Santos, María Francis Attias, Odalis Rosado, Mariano Hernández and Tony Fondeur. The exhibition, in addition to presenting costumes and masks of this expression, will include a live presentation about mask making from the Santiago Carnival by artisans who have financial support and advice from the Reservas Foundation.
