Nos nombreux sites vallonnés, villages montagneux et autres parcs protégés offrent de nombreuses possibilités de randonnée en VTT. À Cabarete, les plus aventureux d’entre vous peuvent se lancer sur des parcours d’endurance de 50 km. Différents niveaux de difficulté sont proposés dans le parc national d’El Choco. Parcourez les routes sinueuses de nos régions montagneuses, à travers les plantations, loin de la circulation (de Jarabacoa à Constanza). Ces routes sont idéales pour explorer le pays en VTT. En chemin, vous pourrez vous rafraîchir auprès des nombreuses rivières et cascades que vous croiserez. Le parc national Cotubanamá de Bayahíbe, situé à proximité des plages de sable blanc, vous propose des randonnées mystiques, à travers les différents sentiers qui mènent à de magnifiques grottes.

Vous pourrez vous procurer les vélos de montagne et les équipements de protection indispensables toute l’année, dans les principales cités balnéaires ou auprès des  voyagistes.

Mettez votre casque et arpentez les sentiers à flanc de montagnes pour découvrir les grottes de nos parcs nationaux.

 
 
Connu pour l’observation des oiseaux et pour la randonnée de montagne, le parc national de Valle Nuevo est l’un des joyaux écologiques de Constanza. Situé à 2 200 mètres, il abrite plus de 500 espèces de plantes dont 138 endémiques – ainsi que de nombreuses espèces d’amphibiens et de papillons.
Constanza
Le parc El Choco offre un monde de nature pour les randonnées, faire du VTT, nager dans des lagons d’eau douce ou explorer des grottes. S’étendant sur 78 kilomètres carrés, des chemins de randonnée vous conduisent à travers d’épaisses forêts tropicales et dans des grottes remontant à des millions d’années.
Puerto Plata
La cascade d’Aguas Blancas, la plus élevée des Caraïbes, chute de 83 mètres dans une grande piscine jade sombre au milieu d’immenses pins et d’ébènes vertes. Des passerelles et une plateforme en bois permettent d’observer les cascades de près et de descendre pour vous rapprocher des piscines plus en aval.

Allant des luxuriants parcs nationaux nichés dans les montagnes à des sentiers de forêt conduisant à des grottes et des routes vallonnées à des plantations de café, Barahona est idéale pour des aventures en VTT.

Des kilomètres de chemins de terre le long de l’ancienne Route de El Choco et à l’intérieur du parc national de El Choco, convertissent Cabarete en un terrain de jeu idéal pour faire du VTT, y compris un parcours intense de 50 kilomètres qui représente un véritable défi en vélo.
Puerto Plata
Pédalez le long des pittoresques vallées, champs de légumes et routes étroites des environs de Constanza. Toute la région a été conçue pour des aventures en VTT. Faites le tour de plusieurs plantations de légumes.

Faites du VTT jusqu'aux cascades de la région, au parc de La Confluencia en bordure des cours d’eau ou tout simplement le long de paysages pittoresques, entourés d’étendues verdoyantes et de vues sur les impressionnants pics de la Cordillera Central.
