Destinazioni

Santo Domingo

Some fun #CoffeeFacts: 1) Because of Dominican Rep Some fun #CoffeeFacts: 1) Because of Dominican Republic's high elevation in the mountainous central region of Jarabacoa, our country is one of the world's top producers of arabica coffee. 2) Most beans are grown in elevations between 2,000 and 5,000 feet because the higher up the elevation, the harsher the growing conditions are, so the plants take longer to grow and therefore have more time to develop more complex and flavorful sugars. 3) Dominican Republic exports around 350,000-500,000 bags of coffee beans per year.

In addition to enjoying the beautiful scenery, the group also had an amazing opportunity to connect with the local community where the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit team held an empowerment and photography workshop with the girls of the Politécnico Santo Esteban Rivera school. Simply put, they challenged the girls to find beauty in themselves, each other and the world around them through the power of photography.
