Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – The Dominican Republic has been nominated in the category “Caribbean’s Best Golf Destination” by the prestigious international World Golf Awards. The winners of these awards will be announced at the 10th World Golf Awards, to be held on October 23, 2023, at Yas Links Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
World Golf Awards, an initiative of the World Travel Awards, recognizes leaders in the golf industry worldwide. The Dominican Republic’s nomination is in recognition of the quality of its golf courses and its role as a premier golf tourism destination.
The Dominican Republic is nominated among other Caribbean destinations, such as Bahamas, Bermuda, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. It is important to note that the Dominican Republic has won the award in this category two years in a row, in 2020 and 2021.
The voting process for the World Golf Awards will be open until September 1, 2023. Voters can choose their favorites in several golf industry categories, including golf destinations, golf courses and golf hotels.
