Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda: Its First Exclusive Collection Resort In The Americas
Today, Club Med unveiled the very first look at Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda, the company’s first Exclusive Collection resort in the Americas, nestled in an untouched region of the Dominican Republic. The first look reveals new renderings of the resort and details about its environmental positioning and four boutique villages.
The company first announced this project in May 2018, when it held a celebratory event on the future site of the resort to lay the first hallmark icon: the first cabana daybed. During the event, Club Med shared it will be the first hospitality brand in the world to open a resort in the pristine, lush region of Miches, approximately an hour and a half north of the now-famous vacation hotspot Punta Cana (in which Club Med was also the first to build on when it opened its resort in 1978).
At 93 acres, Club Med Michès Playa Esmeralda is Club Med’s biggest project of its type in the Caribbean in the past 40 years. The resort will be part of Club Med’s Exclusive Collection, a dedicated category of the most premium resorts designed for travelers seeking the finer elements of the all-inclusive resort brand. The resort will be the first full Exclusive Collection resort in the Americas, and will act as the new flagship of the dedicated line in the region.
Exclusive Collection resorts are characterized by their premium accommodations, exceptional hospitality and personalized services, exclusively beautiful locations around the world, refined dining concepts and lounges, transformational experiences, and unique architecture and design elements. Other Exclusive Collection resorts include the Finolhu Villas in the Maldives, the recently opened Cefalù resort in Sicily and the Valmorel Chalets in the French Alps. (…)
