This cave houses hundreds of well-preserved Taino pictographs and petroglyphs dating back thousands of years, and impressive samples of stalactites and stalagmites.
This beautiful 10-kilometer (six-mile) long white sand beach will take you over an hour to walk from end to end. Blessed with both waves and calmer areas, the beach lines Juan Dolio’s main road–Calle Principal–and is punctuated with seafront bars, restaurants, condominiums, and villas. Juan Dolio has seen a recent revival and surge in upscale beachfront accommodations and resorts, attracting even more city dwellers escaping here on the weekends. There are two public entrances to the beach–at the entrance of town, and down the boulevard beside Club Hemingway.
