Pete Dye completed his masterpiece golf courses at Casa de Campo when Dye Fore opened in 2005. Nestled over the breathtaking Chavón River Valley—where scenes from Apocalypse Now were filmed, among other major movies—golfers enjoy cliff-side holes dropping 300 feet into the valley below. The course also boasts 13 holes overlooking the Caribbean Sea, as well as breathtaking views of Altos de Chavón —a replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village filled with top notch entertainment and shopping—and lush clifftop hills, challenging players with 40 mile-per-hour wind gusts.
