The Eduardo León Jiménes Cultural Center will celebrate Carnavalito 2019, a family activity aimed at children, on February 16 and it will be dedicated to the emblematic Raudy Torres and his renowned character Roba la Gallina. In this annual meeting you will be able to interact with the traditional characters of the Dominican carnival, such as Los Lechones, Nicolás Den Den, Los Indios, La Muerte en Yipe, Se me Muere Rebeca, Juan Antonio Alix and Roba la Gallina, as well as learn about their history. The event includes workshops on making masks, whip finishing and traditional characters of the Santiago Carnival, as well as the traditional parade of groups, troupes and characters. The activity will also include a costume contest for children and youth of traditional Dominican carnival characters. Free admission.
