ASSOCIATION OF BEACH AND CRAFT VENDORS OF VILLA MAGANTE, PLAYA ROGELIO

The Association of Beach and Craft Vendors of Villa Magante is a non-profit organization legally established since 2013. It has 20 active members who promote and manage Playa Rogelio. 

It is a sustainable community tourism project that has a very positive impact at the community level since many people from Villa Magante benefit, where more than 3,000 inhabitants live. Through this project, more than 150 jobs have been created directly, which has boosted the local economy.

With your visit, you contribute to improving the quality of life for many honest and hardworking people who enthusiastically care for their surroundings to keep it clean and protect nature so that we can all enjoy it for many more years to come without harming it. ABOUT GASPAR HERNÁNDEZ 

The Municipality of Gaspar Hernández belongs to the province of Espaillat. It is bordered to the north by the Atlantic Ocean, to the west by Sosúa and Jamao al Norte, to the east by Río San Juan, and to the south by Salcedo, Tenares, and San Francisco de Macorís. It has a population of over 15,000 inhabitants. It preserves traits of indigenous culture, mainly from the Caguayos and Siboneyes originating from the societies of Río San Juan, Nagua, and Samaná.

Tourism is economically important for the city. Ecotourism and mountain tourism mainly develop in the Ojo de Agua section, where there are caves, caverns, and springs of water and rivers, such as the Arroyo Grande River and the Ojo de Agua pool, which is the main tourist attraction in the area.
