About
Located just past the main dock area, this striking wooden building sitting in Bayahíbe village is its first religious site, consecrated in 1925. It boasts a glorious seafront view, and was built entirely from wood brought over from Florida. Inside the church is a framed painting of the Divina Pastora, or the Virgin Mary, dating from 1954. Just as popular is the church’s adjacent Bayahíbe Rose garden, both at the front and the back of the property, with a wraparound gazebo for stunning views of Bayahíbe’s bay.
