Despierta América in Samaná

During their visit to the province of Samaná, the production team and hosts of Despierta América enjoyed an immersive experience designed to showcase the wide variety of attractions that make this destination one of the most complete in the Caribbean. The itinerary included tours of Los Haitises National Park and Cayo Levantado, a visit to the iconic El Limón Waterfall, and experiences at the beaches of Las Galeras and El Valle, where they discovered firsthand the natural beauty and charm of the peninsula.

The agenda also featured adventure activities, including a ziplining experience and a visit to Monkeyland. In addition, the team explored the Santa Bárbara de Samaná waterfront promenade and experienced its entertainment, culture, and nightlife. Local cuisine played a central role throughout the trip, allowing the team to discover authentic Dominican flavors through restaurants, local products, and culinary experiences representative of the region.

One of the initiative’s most significant milestones was the live broadcast of Despierta América from Samaná for three consecutive days, bringing the destination’s images, stories, and experiences directly to millions of viewers. This special coverage provided an important boost to the province’s tourism promotion, strengthening its position among the Hispanic community in the United States and inspiring potential travelers to discover the natural, cultural, and culinary richness of this corner of the Dominican Republic.

Throughout the visit, the team produced audiovisual content and filmed at some of the province’s main tourist attractions, showcasing not only its landscapes but also its stories, the hospitality of its people, and the experiences that make Samaná an ideal destination for travelers seeking nature, adventure, wellness, and authenticity.
