Barahona Enriquillo Coastal Route

There is no road in the country like the one that takes you along the coastal route from Barahona to Enriquillo, starting from Barahona along the southwest coast. The turquoise Caribbean Sea sparkles to your left, while the Barahona mountains rise to your right. Along the way, you will pass through fishing villages and coastal towns where life is rural and the colors of the wooden houses burst against nature. Be on the lookout for cows, as they tend to enjoy this stretch almost as much as the drivers and occasionally sit in the middle of the road.
