Río El Limón

Leading up to the incomparable Salto El Limón waterfall, the eponymous river is a joy to explore. Go canyoning, swimming through its nine cascades on the way to the falls of El Limón. The river also flows down to the heart of El Limón town, forming a small freshwater river pool where residents cool off, particularly on the weekends. Located directly on the main road linking Santa Bárbara de Samaná and Limón, residents flock here with their families on hot afternoons, while also enjoying drinks, bites, and music from the bars and restaurants across the street.
